Positive Damage is a newsletter about drinking mindfully, no- and low-alcohol drinks, and making room for everyone at the bar.

Why subscribe?

I’ve written and drank for over twenty years so that I can save you some trouble. I also won some awards, created America’s best cocktail bar, and was the Chief Spirits Advisor to the National Archives Foundation, which sort of made me the highest ranking bartender in the U.S. government.

My last book, Mindful Mixology: A Comprehensive Guide to No- and Low-Alcohol Cocktails, covered the theory and practice of making great no- and low-alcohol cocktails. But I’m also a certified wellness coach and share practical advice on drinking mindfully, recipes, events, destinations, and more.

Sometimes I go off the rails and write about punk, history, or philosophy. Trust me, it all makes sense in my brain. And, if you read through it, it might start to make sense to you, too.

Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter with articles, recipes, and information about drinking mindfully, no- and low-alcohol drinks, and more. But, most of all, subscribe to get context on why mindful drinking is so important, and what you need to know about it.
